    Officials of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia will sign the Communication on Protection of Cultural Diversity on 11 September: The event “The European Heritage Days” in Prijepolje has gone beyond the national framework, and for the first time in Serbia, under the roof of one museum, it has involved representative programmes of three large and significant museums from the neighboring countries – the Earth Museum of BIH, Museum of Republic of Srpska in Banja Luka and the National Museum of Montenegro.

    International Painters’ Colony on Bardov do finished: The event brought together the artist from seven countries. On 39th Ratkovic’s Poetry Evenings, the Council of Painters’ Colony presented awarded young poets with paintings. Pavle Orović, the Chairman of the NGO “Eko Bjelasica” pointed out that this tradition of giving pictures as presents will be arranged on the forthcoming events organized by the Municipality.

    The 12th traditional meeting of poets “Tara without Limits“ was held: The meeting of poets from Montenegro and the Republic of Srpska started with rafting on the river Tara and it was finished in the camp on Šćepan polje, where in high spirits- gathered around the fire- the poets promoted books, granted awards and read poems. The books “Symbols of the Old Herzegovina” and “Lyricism in "The Torch the Microcosms“were promoted at this traditional meeting. Within the event, the painter Njegoš Miletić from Foča, who is a member of the Association of Artists of the Republic of Srpska, exhibited 20 paintings.

    The sixth solo exhibition of art photographs of Željko Šapurić, an art photographer, a newspaper photographer and a collector, who owns more than 180 cameras and photographic equipment from the end of 19th and the beginning of 20th century and who has exhibited his photographs on numerous photographic exhibitions in our country and abroad, will be opened tomorrow night in Nikšić.

    Pavle Goranović is this year award winner for a collection of poems “Cinober”: Tonight the program of Ratković’s Poetry Evenings “moves” from Bijelo Polje to Podgorica, where in the bookshop “Karver” literary evening will take place and most of the guests of this-year RPE will participate. Evening in “Karver” will start at 8 p.m.

    Comic Strip Festival in Herceg Novi: Despite numerous financial difficulties, the third comic strip festival was opened in Herceg Novi Theater on Friday night. The film “Oda Edi” (“Ode to Edo”) and comic strip exhibition will mark the 10th anniversary of the death of Edo Buković- a famous Croatian comic-artist. The exhibition of Aleksa Gajić, the creator of the comic strip “Bič bozji” (“The Scourge of God”) will be organized in the gallery “Sue Ryder”.

    During 38 days of the twenty-second festival “Barski Ljetopis” 46 official and 18 accompanying programmes were carried out. Audience had opportunity to enjoy in art, film, theatre, literary and musical programmes and in a fashion show. Festival took place at several locations: in the Castle of King Nikola, in the gallery Velimir A. Leković, on the summer stage of the Cultural Centre, in Mirovica and in Old Town.

    A seven-day exhibition of the watercolor paintings was opened two nights ago in Ulcinj, in Tower of Balšići in Old Town. Each artist exhibits 3 paintings which have been done at the famous tourism, cultural and historical locations in Montenegro.

    The Central National Library of Montenegro at the World Library and Information Congress: 75th IFLA General Conference and Assembly in Milan. The aim of the conference was to inform librarians from all quarters of the world about the contemporary accomplishments in the field of library activity and information service and their irreplaceable role in building, protecting and presenting cultural heritage.
