City Theatre: German artists thrilled the audience, Predrag Crnkovic, the author of the novel “Belgrade for the deceased” will appear on the stage: German “Titanic”, one of the most spectacular street theatres, will be remembered this summer by humorous, satirical spectacle inspired by Homer’s “Odyssey”. This spectacle lasted almost two hours, showing the wonders of the modern pyrotechnics, masks, costumes, scenes, ... which were “popping up” from the huge theatre semi-trailer truck, bringing to life bizarreness of the modern world. The novel “Belgrade for the deceased” was awarded by the Croatian publishing company VBZ, as the best unpublished novel. Predrag Crnkovic, the author, says that he wrote this novel “because of the therapeutic reasons – in order to free himself from some bad feelings.” The light motives of the book are the tragic consequences of the infernal 90s in Serbia, to which Crnkovic metaphorically refers to as “deathlike”.
