Montenegrin and U.S. officials visited the research vessel in the Bay of Kotor: The mission of the research vessel “Hercules” in territorial waters of Montenegro is merely the beginning of long-term cooperation on the Montenegrin seabed mapping project in quest for valuable archaeological sites. The underwater archaeological research project is a sign of fostering good relations between the Ministry of Culture and US Embassy in Montenegro.

Research Reveals New Data for Boka Bay: The most recent research conducted in Boka Bay has revealed the maximum depth of the Bay is 64 meters, although existing maps suggested it was 45 meters. This location, which is situated SE from Perast has not yet been noted on the nautical charts, neither has the system of eight underwater wells, in which there is absolute lack of oxygen, it has been stated from the Institute for Marine Biology. This research project has been implemented by “ADRISCOM ADRIA.”

Kotor’s Institute and “Morsko dobro” Send a Joint Appeal for the Preservation of the Coastline: “Here is an answer to the question of Boka Bay fishermen, who asked about the causes for the disappearance of sardines from the Bay. The answer is - irresponsible relationship to the marine environment on the coastline”, two institutions said in a joint statement on occasion of the Day of the Coast, insisting that the future development of the coastline should be limited with the natural capacity of the coast and the sea.
