Results of the Research on the Use of Computers, Internet and Mobile Phones by the Citizens Presented at INFOFEST: Super fast ADSL Internet service of company T-Com is used by 36 percent of citizens, which marks the highest figure of users for any of the services for accessing global Net available on Montenegrin market. Internet is used by 41 percent of Montenegrin citizens, this survey shows.

Training Ship of Montenegrin Navy Sails for Barcelona: Montenegrin Navy training ship, sailing boat “Jadran” sailed out of Kotor’s Port yesterday at 6 pm. “Jadran’s” destination is Barcelona, where it will head the convoy of 40 sailing boats, research ships and other vessels which symbolize responsible relation of men to the preservation of marine ecosystems. Convoy will mark the opening of the international conference on biodiversity of International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

A New Vessel for Montenegrin Maritime Safety Department (UPS) Almost Built: building of a new specialized boat aimed for search and rescue operations at sea (SAR), which is being built at the “Navar” shipyard in Tivat for the needs of Montenegrin Maritime Safety Department (UPS), should be completed soon. Placing of this 12, 2 meters long vessel into service will improve safety of navigation in Montenegrin territorial waters.

US Weekly “Nation” Discloses Details on the Stay of US Presidential Candidate in Montenegro in 2006: Montenegro is, once more, among top-stories in the US media. This time, as the place where US presidential candidate, John McCain met up with Italian criminal Raffaello Follieri on 30 August 2006 in Kotor. “Nation”, the oldest US weekly, which considers itself as a “forerunner of the leftist policies”, ran a photograph last night, taken in Kotor’s marine, which shows McCain coming aboard a yacht “Celine Ashley”, which has been rented by Follieri.

Facility for Desalinization and Water Purification Starts Working at Jaz: with the opening of desalinization and water purification facility at Jaz – first of its’ kind in Montenegro – problems with water shortages and environmental protection at Lastva Grbaljska and surrounding costal region will be fully resolved. Crew of fishing boat “Montefish” from Tivat brought back from the sea an amazing catch, most certainly setting a record for this year: three large sword fish and one tuna fell “victims” of experienced Tivat’s fishermen. Total weight of this catch came up to 300 kilograms.
