Great success of yachtsmen from Podgorica at famous international regatta: 24th International Holiday Dinghy Sailing Regatta started at the Port Brindisi where 107 boats were trying to find the best starting position by squeezing past each other on a limited area of the maritime zone which was packed with motley sails from different countries. Many Italian teams spread their spinnakers and headed for the finish hoping to win but the Montenegrin sailing boat “10 Years After” triumphed.

Alpinists abandoned their summit attempt: The international expedition with five Montenegrin alpinists decided to abandon any further attempts to reach the summit of Mount Everest, also known as „The Roof of the World“ at 8.850 meters height above sea level. This decision was made by the expedition’s leader, Dragan Jacimovic, and other alpinists gave their consent to it.

The hour has struck to conquer Mount Everest: International expedition with five Montenegrin alpinists sets off to the summit of Mount Everest tonight. A member of the expedition notified that in the night between Monday and Tuesday, another half a meter of snow fell on the North Col and everything looked like “Christmas fairytale”.

Lack of money leaves Budva out of the Calendar of the World Powerboat Championship – Powerboat Class 1: “Budva will not be the host of powerboat race spectacle this year since there were not enough sponsors to take part in organization of this prestigious event”, it is confirmed for Daily “Vijesti” in Budva-based company MC Marina and the local tourism organization which organized the racing event successfully last year.

The fascinating undersea world, rich in colours and shapes, cannot be faithfully depicted even by HDTV. Once you dive in the infinite azure and notice reddish starfish, dark sea urchins or shoals of fish nibbling you out of curiosity, only then you realize that you cannot get to know submarine world from the cosy comfort of your armchair. -

Montenegrin alpinists wait for the blizzard to pass: Expedition in the base camp ABC at 6.400 meters above sea-level are waiting for the weather to improve for four days: The expedition has gone through first phase of the high-altitude preparations, with constant trainings and climbing the North Col (7.100 m ASL). The plan for the forthcoming period is to climb above Col up to 7.400 m ALT, come back and stay overnight at the Col, and then to return again to the base camp. Strong wind and heavy snow on the Himalayas are impeding them in doing so for days.
