    This years’ pre-season has exposed all the shortcomings, but also the challenges which Montenegrin tourist would face in the upcoming five years’ period. While our aim remains to become a destination for the rich tourists - which had been warmly advised by the foreign experts, that is to make a clear barrier between mass and elite tourism – one thing is certain: the decrease in the number of visitors spending their holidays in the private accommodation is a good signal that we are on the right path.

    A group of 17 tourists from Island, led by their guide from Slovenia, has spent last week hiking across Montenegrin mountains. Their visit ended with their two-day climb to Mount Orjen. These adventure-oriented tourists from Island had been escorted with their highlander-guide, Zoran Radetic, a Slovenian citizen of Montenegrin origin.

    Montenegro and Croatia Connected With a Direct Flight as of Yesterday: the planes of Croatia would fly to Podgorica three times a week – on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Ticket from Podgorica to Zagreb would be 35 Euro in one direction and Euro 70 for a return ticket. This tariff does not include passenger and safety taxes, or the fee for ticket issuing.

    Tourism Metropolis Marks an Increase in the Number of Guests in Comparison to June Last Year. Nearly two thirds of all guests in Montenegro are spending their holidays in Budva. The coordination body would convene at least once a week, in order to summarize results and introduce new proposals aiming at a more efficient team-work of all the levels of the authority in the tourist season monitoring process.

    Action of Bar Communal Police: Communal Police of Bar has announced a more drastic measures in prevention of working hours’ breaching and playing the music, which is too loud. The actions are to commence this week. Head of the Communal Police, Zoran Pajovic emphasized that all objects in the wider territory of the Municipality would be placed under scrutiny.
