Visit-Montenegro.com : Infrastructure is Montenegro’s Biggest Problem

WEF Releases a List of the Most Competitive Economies: in this year’s list of most competitive economies, which were ranked by the World Economic Forum (WEF), Montenegro progressed by 18 positions and ended up in 65th. According to WEF’s Global Competitiveness Report, Montenegro received the highest grade, 4.52, in the category of global characteristics, 3,95 for the improvement of efficiency and 3,33 for innovation factors.

Geneva (MINA-BUSINESS) – In this year’s list of most competitive economies, which were ranked by the World Economic Forum (WEF), Montenegro progressed by 18 positions and ended up in 65th.

According to WEF’s Global Competitiveness Report, Montenegro received the highest grade, 4.52, in the category of global characteristics, 3,95 for the improvement of efficiency and 3,33 for innovation factors.
Montenegrin healthcare system and system of primary education has been marked by 5,83, bringing Montenegro to the 42nd position. Macroeconomic stability has been marked by 5,46, which brought Montenegro to 35th place.
Institutions have been marked by 4,07, which brought Montenegro to the 59th place. Infrastructure received 2,72, which leaves Montenegro on position 100 among total of 130 countries included on this list.

Montenegro is one of world’s smallest economies, so that it was graded with 1,95, which means that it is placed on 125th position out of 130 countries.

Efficiency of Montenegrin labor market has been graded by 4,47 or 53rd position. Market of goods has been rated by 4,17 and brings Montenegro at 69th position. High education has been graded by 4,18, which brought Montenegro to 55th place.

According to the general index of competitiveness, Montenegro left Serbia far behind, on 85th place, as well as Macedonia at 89th, Bosnia and Herzegovina at position 107 and Albania at 108.

Croatia is five places ahead of Montenegro, which marked its fall by three positions in comparison to the previous research. Slovenia also marked a drop by four positions and is now at place 42.

According to the report of WEF, Montenegro is more competitive than three EU member-states: Greece, Romania and Bulgaria, but falls behind after Hungary, Poland, Russia and Czech Republic.

United States of America still remain the most competitive states. Three other top-positions have also remained unchanged and belong to Switzerland, Denmark and Sweden.

Burundi, Zimbabwe and Chad are at the very end of this list.
