Potential foreign partnership in EPCG
The Deputy Prime Minister of Mo n t e negro, Vujica Lazović, announced this week that the government is considering allowing foreign partnership in the state-owned power operator Elektroprivreda.
Lazović said the government may invite preliminary tenders to assess the interest of foreign companies in cooperating with EPCG, and that the ideal model would be one of sustainable development between the state – which would remain the majority owner – and a renowned global power supply company.
The new partner would be, according to Lazović, essential for spurring new investments and for better managerial competence.
In related news, a war of words has broken out over potential electricity price hikes in the country.
