Mall of Montenegro to open this year

A joint public-private partnership between the Podgorica municipality and Gintasmont will open a shopping centre in the capital in three phases.

The first will cover 20,000 square metres and have a green market, some 700 stands and at least 70 small stores.

The second phase, expected to open in August, includes four blocks, a centre square and several coffee shops.

The third, and biggest phase, will include the construction of 80 retail facilities, a multiplex cinema, hypermarket, restaurants and office space.

The total project is expected to cost €40 million.

“The aim of the project is to benefit Podgorica as well as Montenegro both economically and socially,” said Cankat Tolunay, Gintasmont’s Executive Director.
