Herceg Novi – Sailboat “Black Mystery” with skipper Sasa Kekovic arrived first at yesterday’s regatta “Trofej Herceg Novog” (Trophy of Herceg Novi) at the route from “Gradska luka” (City Port) via Rose to Baosici.

The sailboat “Idrusa” came as runner up, with the skipper Paolo Montefusco, and “Oxygen” representing the yachting club “Jovo Dabovic” from Baosici which organized the competition and the event along with sailing enthusiasts from Herceg Novi.

The sailboat “Idrusa” is also the winner of the traditional regatta “Terradamare” at the route from Bari to City Port in Herceg Novi.

One of the regatta participants Raffaele Ricci, who is the President of the Yachting Club in Puglia, says that Herceg Novi is beautiful city.

“I am here for the first time, but I know for sure that the regatta is better organized year by year since it develops into significant event for sportsmen, sailors and businessmen” – he remarks. According to him, many champion sailors arrived from Puglia this year.

Herceg Novi welcomed 250 tourists since crews from Italy brought their families with them.

Head of the Department of Social Affairs in the municipality of Herceg Novi, Rade Bozovic, points out that the organization of the regatta “Terradamare” is important tourist propaganda of Herceg Novi Riviera as well.
