Visit-Montenegro.com: Satisfying summer season expected

Podgorica (MINA-BUSINESS) – State of affairs in the tourism of Montenegro inspires optimism and announcements based on forecasts for June, July and August seem satisfying, while negotiations with tourist agencies and tour-operators regarding the postseason are in the process – these were the conclusions from yesterday’s meeting of operational teams in charge of preparations for the tourism season.

Operational teams, established for the purpose of mitigating negative impact of the global financial crisis, have discussed former implemented activities aimed at creating favourable environment for developing business in the tourism industry as well as the activities undertaken by hoteliers in order to attract tourists coming from emitting markets of great importance to Montenegro.

They established a fact that the present tourism policy is amended in order to match changes which happen in markets on daily basis. However, there is still enough room for some hotel-managers, private renters, restaurateurs, beach leaseholders and others to correct their price policy and to adjust it to this critical year, given that the late reaction may have an adverse effect on their business.

In the statement from the Ministry of Tourism and Environmental Protection it is said that in terms of providing support to the activities carried out by the Government and representatives of the tourism industry, the national flag carrier “Montenegro Airlines” has decided to start new routs to Pristina, Skopje and Copenhagen. As far as existing routes are concerned, this company provides significant discounts for tourists who book their all-inclusive vacation packages to Montenegro.

Members of operational teams exchanged their ideas and comments with reference to the following tourism season and preparations for it should start any time now.
