Visit-Montenegro.com: Drilling machines and “Cobras” at minimum
Construction works in Budva throughout the whole summer: Though all construction sites should have been officially locked yesterday not to be open before 1st of October, and seasonal construction workers should have started packing their suitcases, by all accounts, they are going to stay in Budva during entire summer since construction works apparently won’t soon be over.
Budva – Despite the fact that ban on performing construction works entered into force yesterday, works are carried out on more than 20 construction sites in the largest construction zone on Budva Riviera, along the coastline and in hinterland of the city.
Earlier, on 15th of May, a ban on performing outdoor works was imposed in the first construction zone which includes settlements below the Adriatic highway from Budva to Petrovac and exclusive areas in these settlements.
However, the municipality issued permits to several major investors allowing them to continue with construction works until 1st of June when activities concerning securing construction sites should be over.
The permits to proceed with work were granted to the Russian company “Mirax” for building works on Cape Zavala, the company “Tradeunique” for building housing and business complex “TQ Plaza”, the British company “Beppler & Jacobson” for construction works on the hotel “Avala” in Budva and the Russian “Njega Tours” for building the hotel “As” in Perazica Do.
Though all construction sites should have been officially locked yesterday not to be open before 1st of October, and seasonal construction workers (there are more than 7000 of them in Budva during winter) should have started packing their suitcases, by all accounts, they are going to stay in Budva during entire summer since construction works apparently won’t be over soon.
The General Manager of “Tradeunique”, Rade Latinovic, confirmed that this company got verbal permission from the municipality to continue with indoor works on their eight-storey business center proving that there is a minimum noise.
“Concrete works are finished and the construction site is secured, so we will only be doing indoor works which don’t produce any noise”- Latinovic said.
The request to continue works which will neither make noise nor create clouds of dust was submitted to the municipality by the company “Mirax” as well.
“We asked for permission to carry on with work. We would be performing primarily indoor works, façade, and none of these imply using construction machinery or making noise,” – it is emphasized in “Mirax”.
The company “Beppler & Jacobson” has already finished securing the site on old “Avala”. The big crane was dismantled, and workers were performing façade works and cleaning the site in front of the Old Town walls late into the night two days ago.
The company “Njega Tours” stopped construction works yesterday as well, so building of the hotel “As” will be continued by the end of September.
Works were performed yesterday without obstruction on several residential buildings in the first zone, from Budva to Petrovac, and on some buildings in settlements Rozino and Velji Vinogradi, where the ban on construction works entered into force yesterday.
According to the decision on municipal order, failure to comply with a stop-work order will be fined between EUR 550 and 11 000 for legal persons and entrepreneurs, while citizens will be liable to a fine between EUR 110 and 550.
