Visit-Montenegro.com: More Russians expected to come

Montenegrin tourism offer presented in Moscow:
Within the press conference and the presentation, which took place at the premises of the Embassy of Montenegro in Moscow, the Minister Nenezic invited citizens of the Russian Federation to visit Montenegro and informed of the new high-quality offer attuned to the circumstances created by the deepening global economic crisis. Diverse tourism offer of Montenegro includes hiking & biking, MICE, spa & wellness, eco, active & extreme, nautical, etc. for different target groups.

Podgorica – The Minister of Tourism and Environmental Protection, Predrag Nenezic, the Ambassador of Montenegro to Russia, Slobodan Backovic, and the General Manager of the National Tourism Organization, Sasa Radovic, presented tourism offer of Montenegro for the forthcoming season in Moscow yesterday.

Within the press conference and the presentation, which took place at the premises of the Embassy of Montenegro in Moscow, the Minister Nenezic invited citizens of the Russian Federation to visit Montenegro and informed of the new high-quality offer attuned to the circumstances created by the deepening global economic crisis.

By pointing out that strategic orientation of Montenegro is directed towards markets of Western and Central Europe, Nenezic expressed his content with the fact that the number of Russian tourists who visit Montenegro is continuously increasing.

Last year, Montenegro was visited by 120.000 guests coming from this market and the total of registered overnights was 900.000 which is 37% more in comparison to the prior year.

Moreover, Nenezic introduced all attendees with anticipated investments in the hotel and tourism sector emphasizing the importance of the world’s major hotel brands in Montenegrin tourism economy, such as Aman Resorts, Kempinski, Marriott and Banyan Tree.

In addition to this, Nenezic said that he was satisfied with the great interest of Russian investors in making investments in Montenegro and added that the cooperation with them was good and successful.

The Minister informed all invitees as well as representatives of media on intensifying air traffic on Moscow – Podgorica and Moscow – Tivat routes, which should make arrival of tourists from Russia faster and easier.

In the introductory part, invitees were welcomed by the Ambassador Backovic who reminded them of traditionally good and friendly relations between Montenegro and Russia and expressed his content with the interest of Russian citizens in Montenegro as attractive tourism destination.

The General Manager of the National Tourism Organization, Sasa Radovic, spoke of undertaken promotional activities aimed at improving the image of Montenegro and introduced the fact that Montenegro was put on the map of the world’s tourism as destination which develops at a dizzy rate. It is described by leading tourist guides as the “marvel of tourism”.

In his speech, Radovic presented diverse tourism offer of Montenegro, its coastal and mountain area (hiking & biking, MICE, spa & wellness, eco, active & extreme, nautical, etc.) for different target groups (businessmen, high rollers, ordinary citizens, people involved in sports, recreation, countryside, culture, etc.).

He mentioned significant culture events which also attract tourists every year. After the presentation, a cocktail party was organized for all invitees where they could taste traditional Montenegrin drinks as well as the national cuisine.
