Montenegro presents its potential for foreign investments at Real Estate Fair Exhibition 2009 in Milan: Italian investors are willing to invest in infrastructure projects, transportation sector, processing industry, tourism, water and sewage treatment and recycling. ‘I expect many positive outcomes, such as implementation of several projects to take place in the near future. Milan (MINA-BUSINESS) – Italian investors are interested in investing into infrastructure projects in Montenegro, transportation sector, processing industry, tourism, water and sewage treatment and recycling – it is reported yesterday after the Montenegrin presentation within the EIRE Expo Italia Real Estate Fair Exhibition 2009 in Milan.
There were nearly 60 attendees at the presentation including representatives of different investment funds, representatives of construction companies and many companies from tourism sector together with teams of architects.
Representatives of the Montenegrin Government presented development projects for Velika Plaza, Ada Bojana, as well as potentials for foreign investments in infrastructure, real estates and service sectors.
The General Manager of the Montenegrin Investment Promotion Agency (MIPA), Petar Ivanovic, announced that a great number of Italian investors weren’t familiar with our legislation.
- I’ve noticed that there is a substantial interest in infrastructure projects, and we should be more than happy if we consider the development history of this sector in Italy – Ivanovic remarked after the presentation.
He assessed Montenegrin decision to take part in the Real Estate Fair as wise move since this was an excellent opportunity to meet in person interested investors.
Montenegrin Ambassador to Italy, Darko Uskokovic, stated that the delegation consisting of Italian companies interested in development of small and medium-sized enterprises will pay official visit to Montenegro by the end of June.
- I expect many positive outcomes, such as implementation of several projects to take place in the near future. Everything takes time and patience, and it is my sincere hope that we will soon have some tangible results – Uskokovic declared.
Senior Development Manager of the company “Bovis Land Lease”, Howard Gaunt, declared that he would recommend investors to make investments in Montenegro, and added that he will explore the possibility to invest in health and medical tourism.
- My suggestions to investors will be focused on investments in the area of infrastructure, power industry and water supply – Gaunt revealed.
The Owner of the “Prima Casa Gruppo” company, Luca Savino Sinisi, announces his arrival to Montenegro in order to see for himself what the country’s potentials for foreign investments are.
- I am not coming just for the sake of investment, but I intend also to visit Montenegro with my business associates – said Sinisi adding that his company invests in tourism and civil engineering.
The EIRE Expo Italia Real Estate Fair Exhibition 2009 in Milan is open until Friday, 12th June.
