Discussion and news briefing on the play “Lysistrata” staged by “Ljubomir Kabakchiev” Theatre from Bulgaria will take place on the fourth day of “Teuta 2009” Festival in the small hall of the Cultural Center in Kotor at 12 am. A controversial multimedia artist Ilija Soskic, who expresses his art through interaction, performance of “tableau vivant”, photography, gesture-object, interactive installation and video, will be performing the same night.
Podgorica – News briefing about the play “Lysistrata” staged by “Ljubomir Kabakchiev” Theatre from Bulgaria will take place on the fourth day of “Teuta 2009” Festival in the small hall of the Cultural Center in Kotor at 12 am. The play was performed last night on the summer stage in Kotor. Two more programmes will take place today: “Novo citanje antike” (Another interpretation of Antique) performed by the students of Dramaturgy at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts from Cetinje who will be stage reading their drama texts about the classical characters Antigone and Phaedrus as a subject in the City Library at 7 pm. The authors will be presented by Marinko Vorgic and Ljubomir Djurkovic.
On the same evening, popular concept artist Ilija Soskic will stage a performance “Prometej – Kremen Kamen” (Prometheus – Flint Stone) near the Old Town, on the location next to the channel of the river Skurda at 9 pm.
Soskic (1935) learned his trade well at the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade and the Art School in Herceg Novi. Soskic is a controversial multimedia artist (performing since the early ‘60s) who is expressing his art through interaction, performance of “tableau vivant”, photography, gesture-object, interactive installation and video. He lives and works in Rome.
