Guitar Art Summer Fest- Guitar players from all over the world will gather at the fourth International Summer Classical Guitar Festival “Guitar Art Summer Fest” in Herceg Novi from 15th to 20th August. During those six days concerts, master courses, lectures and caricature exhibition will be organized.
Herceg Novi - International summer classical guitar festival “Guitar Art Summer Fest” will be held in Herceg Novi in August 15-20, organizers announced.
Manifestation which is held for the fourth time in the largest town in Boka Kotorska will gather artist from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Russia, the Netherlands and Montenegro.
Bosko Radojkovic, the festival director, says that classical and other guitar players, students of elementary and secondary schools, university students, their professors, eminent guests and world leading guitar players gather every summer in August at this festival in Herceg Novi. Radojkovic points out the aim of the project is to exchange knowledge, practice, experience and get acquainted with domestic and world trends in contemporary guitar education and concert practice.
Art director Srdjan Bulatovic, the first educated guitar professor in Montenegro, says that during six days of guitar festival in Herceg Novi not only concerts but master courses, lectures and caricature exhibition “Guitar and me – the Montenegrin string” will be organized as well.
Aleksej Arhipovski will open the festival. He will play Russian folk songs as well as pieces of classical music composed by Bach, Beethoven and Paganini on traditional Russian instrument balalaika. This will be the first solo concert of one artist in this region.
Bulatovic states that the audience on Kanli Kula will hear classical and non classical concerts: “Zlatko Manojlovic & friends” and “Trio Balkan Strings”. They will not play only classical music but ethno, jazz and rock as well.
“Euro Unit Yamaha Montenegro” as a friend of “Guitar Art Summer Fest” gave as a present electric piano worth 2000 euros to Music School in Herceg Novi.
