Visit-Montenegro.com: Railroad to Trebinje
The representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Mayer of Herceg Novi had a meeting yesterday. The member of the BiH presidency says that the Electric Power Industry of Republic of Srpska is willing to help Herceg Novi and Montenegro in better hydro energetic use of the lake of Bileća. Also, both countries are interested in the construction of the railroad Nikšić-Trebinje, which is a long-term project.
Herceg Novi: “Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro are an example of a good cooperation in the region and Herceg Novi is an important link in it,” Nebojša Radmanović, the member of the BiH presidency said yesterday after the meeting with Dejan Mandić, the Mayer.
Radmanović says that the Electric Power Industry of Republic of Srpska is willing to help Herceg Novi and Montenegro in better hydro energetic use of the lake of Bileća. He says that they already have that kind of cooperation with Croatia, which uses the water from
the lake of Bileća and from Trebišnjica for staring the hydro-electric power plant in Dubrovnik, Plat, but that it does not function so good.
Radmanović also says that the road infrastructure between two states can be improved. He adds that there are plans for construction of the road Foča-Šćepan polje. Both countries are interested in the construction of the railroad Nikšić-Trebinje, which is a long-term project. He also states that a good solution is the road route Herceg Novi – Trebinje.
