Visit-Montenegro: The Average Harvest is Expected
Tomorrow starts salt harvest and more than 100 pickers would be engaged in it. It is expected that the harvest will be on the average level. Accordingly, everything is ready for the beginning of the harvest. Its delay has been caused by heavy rains at the end of June and at the beginning of July.
Ulcinj-Yesterday from the Salt Company “Bajo Sekulić” in Ulcinj it was confirmed to “Vijesti” that this-year salt harvest would start tomorrow and that the expected crops should be on the average level. Milorad Iković, the bankruptcy manager, said that more than 100 pickers would be engaged in the harvest.
“Everything is ready for the beginning of the harvest. Its delay has been caused by heavy rains at the end of June and at the beginning of July, when more than 200 l/m2 of rain fell. Nevertheless, there is salt in the basins and if weather is fine we expect a good harvest,” Iković says in the interview for “Vijesti”.
According to our information, for the hard work in warm September days the pickers will be paid the same amount as last year – 22€ per shift.
