The third Petrovac Jazz Festival was opened in Petrovac last night: It will last until 3rd September. Concerts will be held every night at 7 p.m. in front of the Public Institution “Crvena Komuna” and at 9 p.m. on the terrace of the fortress Castello. Jazz fans will enjoy music of great jazz players from Serbia, Austria, Italy, Poland, Slovenia, France and Belgium.

Budva-Jazz festival in Petrovac was opened last night with the concert of “Duo Moderato”. Jazz fans who come to Petrovac will have the opportunity to enjoy the concerts every night until 3rd September in front of the Public Institution “Crvena Komuna” and on the terrace of the fortress Castello.

Tanja Drašković, a Public Relations Coordinator of the Tourism organization of the Municipality of Budva, announced performances of great jazz players from several countries: Serbia, Austria, Italy, Poland, Slovenia, France and Belgium.

“The NGO “Urbani kult “(Urban Cult) started this festival and implemented this project for the first time in 2006. Afterwards this festival immediately became recognizable in the region and beyond. Included in the European jazz calendar it soon got deserved recognition. Great interest in this festival by media and the public has confirmed its success,” Drašković says, adding that the Tourism Organization of the Municipality of Budva is a friend and a sponsor of the festival this year as well.

Vinko Mihajlović, the director of NGO “Urbani kult” which is the organizer of the festival, has stated that from the Montenegrin bands “London Trio” and “Balthazar” will present themselves to the audience.

“The following bands will perform: “The Belgrade Dixieland Orchestra”, “Duo Moderato”, “La trio from Serbia”; Cecile Broche and Etienne Bouyer Duo from France / Belgium; Mowgli from Italy; “Jazoo” from Slovenia; Maja Jaku and Saša Mutić from Austria and “Enerjazzer” from Poland.
