Visit-Montenegro.com: Cycle race in Piva

International cycle race “Putevima Baja Pivljanina”, which is organized by ethno village Montenegro in cooperation with the cycling club “Perun” and Tourism Organization of Plužine, will be held on Sunday, 6 September. The aim of the race, in which 80 racers will take part, is to promote tourism and natural resources of that region.

Nikšić-Cycle race “Putevima Baja Pivljanina”, the second race organized by ethno village Montenegro in cooperation with the cycling club “Perun” and Tourism Organization of Plužine, will be held on Sunday, 6 September.

According to the words of the organizers, the aim of the race is to promote tourism and natural resources of this region. The start and the finish line of this international race are in ethno village in Brezni.

“Besides many riders from our country, cycle racers from abroad and those from the region will take part in this race. This race is specific because the old forest paths, which have been marked by the cycling club “Perun” and cyclists from Austria, are used for the first time,” the organizers said.

In the Municipality Plužine there are 380 km of such paths. The path which will be crossed by 80 racers is 30km long and it is mainly macadam.

Vlado Knežević, the chief administrator of the Municipality Plužine will open the race. He will present cups, medals and prizes.
