Unusual request from the Dutch tourists in Herceg Novi - to be welcomed by the gusle-player: Guests from the Netherlands, who were brought to Montenegro by their friend, a retired journalist, who was staying in Igalo last spring and liked it so much that he wanted to share that memorable experience with his friends, greeted Željko Bijelović, the gusle-player, with thunderous applause.
Herceg Novi-Tourists who come to Herceg Novi Riviera in September want more than just to swim and lie in the sun. Such are tourists from the Netherlands who were staying at the guest house “Mračević” last week. Frans Suasso de Lima de Prado, a retired journalist, who was a correspondent of one Dutch daily from Belgrade from 1971 to 1975, brought a group of his friends intellectuals into a working and tourism visit to the Adriatic coast.
Last spring De Prado was staying in Igalo and he liked it so much that he wanted to share that experience with his friends once again. But what was surprising even to the hosts was the wish of the guests to be welcomed in Herceg Novi by the gusle-player. The hosts met their wish. Guests greeted Željko Bijelović, the gusle-player, with thunderous applause.
Guests from the Netherlands visited Kotor, Our Lady of the Rocks, Perast, Cetinje and some other Montenegrin sights.
