Films on the Underwater World

A Two-Day Festival at Kotor

Kotor – Seventh Mediterranean Festival of the Films on the Underwater World “Sub Aqua Fest” would take place at Kotor on 14 and 15 June.

The Festival is organized by an NGO “Sub Aqua Fest”, Scuba-Diving Center “Aquanaut” and the Diving Association of Montenegro. This event is supported by the Ministry for Culture, Sports and Media and the Diving Association of Montenegro.

Gala opening is announced for 14 June at 20:30 at Piazza of the Cinema in Kotor’s Old Town. During two evenings, the audience would be presented with 14 films about the underwater world by the authors from Montenegro, Great Britain, Switzerland, New Zealand, Hungary, Slovenia, Belgium, Spain, France, Malta, Serbia and Italy. The entrance to all of the projections is free of charge.

Team of experts would select three best films which would, thus, ensuring their participation at the world festival at Antibes, which is to take place between 29 October and 5 November.

Apart from the films competing in official selection, the audience will also see the award-wining film from Antibes, called “Les gravières du Ried” by French author Serge Dumont.

It is expected that the representatives of international organizations who specialize in underwater organizations and those that deal with the protection of seas and oceans would attend the festival. Presence of foreign and domestic press has also been announced.
