Up until now, estimated half a million Euro had been invested into improving tourist offer of Niksic. The new owner plans to make sure that Vucje does not remain tourist destination during winter time, but also during summers.
Expert Consultant of “Komp Komerc” is Austrian, Robert Apschner, who said that Vucje had preconditions for the development of Nordic skiing, snowboarding, night skiing slopes and all other kinds of winter sports.
“What remains to be resolved is the problem with water. It might be good to accumulate water and make a several kilometer long water pipe-line. Water could also be used for the production of artificial snow, which would prolong the duration of the season to a much longer period”, Apschner maintained.
Owner of “Komp Komerc”, Ranko Jovovic added that the support of Niksic Municipality had great importance, as it was crucial in resolving the situation with water supplies.
“Once the problem with water is resolved, this project will go ahead. We expect that parts of it would already be realized during this season”, Jovovic said.
Building of a four-seat ski-lift is planned at Vucje, as well as rebuilding of existing ski-lifts and fixing of the slopes. It has been planned to work on introduction of daily and weekend tourism, as well as expanding the offer for young people and skiing on the special slope which can be used in both winter and summer.
Central part of the area would be covered with artificial grass or it would serve as the area for volleyball, basketball or tennis fields, as well as artificial free-climbing rocks.
Project is worth eight million Euro. This amount might decrease if the second-hand equipment would be bought. Jovovic added that this project would be realized with the loans provided by CKB, Prva banka and NLB bank.
