First competition in mountain biking called “Bjelasica Cup 2008” took place at Barutana, near Kolasin, yesterday. Event had been organized by the Municipality of Kolasin, Public Company for culture, physical culture and sports, Cycling Association of Montenegro and Cycling club “Tempo” from Podgorica.

Event had been organized by the Municipality of Kolasin, Public Company for culture, physical culture and sports, Cycling Association of Montenegro and Cycling club “Tempo” from Podgorica.
In the class of pioneers, first place went to Samir Pepljak of “Ciklomont” club from Bijelo Polje.
In the category of hobby-fan, first place had been won by Darko Mrsevic from Pljevlja’s “Rudar” club, while the first place in the category hobby-sports went to Jevrem Cadjenovic from Podgorica’s “Tempo” club.
In the young-cadet category, the first place had been won by “Ciklomont”’s Stefan Nedovic and Dejan Vojinovic of “Rudar” club.
In the Masters category, first place went to Dejan Popovic of “Tempo” club.
In the category of Juniors, the best results had been achieved by Lazar Radovic of Podgorica’s “Tempo”.
The categories “Under 23”, Elite and “Bjelasica 2008” trophy went to the winner, Dragan Jasovic from “Tempo” club from Podgorica.
Competitors voted Branko Cerovic, who is the oldest competitor from Niksic’s “Perun” club, as a representative for the Association of Montenegrin Cyclists.
40 cyclists, who competed in seven categories, participated in this race.
Cycling races take place at Niksic, Pljevlja, Bijelo Polje and Zabljak.
This is the third cup of Montenegro which is being taken into account for the National competition.
Municipality of Kolasin has donated awards for the winners of this race.
Juniors who won first, second and third place have received 40, 30 and 20 Euros, Cadets won 30, 20 and 10, while Elite and Under 23 winners got 70, 40 and 20 Euros. First place in the category of masters brought the winner Euro 30.
