First analysis of the Sea-Water this Year Finds It Has Superb Quality: Sea water on Montenegrin coast is clean and poses necessary quality characteristics which make it suitable for swimming and recreation, the first analysis of the water quality conducted on 16 and 17 of June shows.

“Out of 83 analyzed locations, sea water at 73 locations bears the mark ‘first class’, while 10 remaining locations have second class quality”, the statement from Public Enterprise “Morsko Dobro” reads.

For the 11th consecutive season, “Morsko dobro” is following on the quality of the sea water used for swimming and recreation. The monitoring for the needs of this enterprise is conducted by Republic’s Hydrometerological Institute.

According to the statement containing the data which had been processed by the head of Service for Sustainable Development, Aleksandra Ivanovic and signed by Director of “Morsko dobro”, Rajko Barovic, the first class quality in Budva’s Riviera had been confirmed at the following beaches: Buljarica, Lucice, eastern and western side of Sveti Stefan, Przno, Kamenovo, as well as Becici beach, in front of hotel “The Queen of Montenegro”, company hostel MOC, beach Sveti Toma and hotel beach of “Belvi”.

First class water-quality had also been confirmed at the beach of “Park” hotel, at Grdjevica river and beach “Blue Magic” at Slovenska plaza, as well as at Ricardova glava beach, Mogren and former nudist beach of "S and I Beach Life". First quality water had also been confirmed at "Escallara" and "Blue Beach" at Jaz.

“In Ulcinj area, first quality of water had been confirmed at Ada Bojana, sections of Velika plaza known as “Kitesfera”, “Copacabana”, “Evropa beach”, “Tropicana”, “Safari”, “Miami” and “Tony Grill”, as well as Borova suma and Mala plaza.

At Bar’s Riviera, first class of sea-water had been found at beaches of Veliki pijesak, Topolica, Zukotrlica, Crvena plaza, Canj, as well as Sutomore’s beach at locations of "Tri duda" and "Centar".

In Kotor’s area, first class water had been confirmed at the localities at Trsteno, Stoliv, Markov rt, Prcanj, in front of "Fjord" hotel, beach "Malibu" at Dobrota, at Sveti Matija, Sveti Stasije, as well as at beaches I and II in Perast, beach of hotel "Teuta" in Risan and Morinje beach”, the statement reads.

In Tivat area, best quality of sea water had been found at the beach of "Plavi horizont", Oblatno, Krasici, Solil, Kalimanj, Kalardovo, as well as hotel beach of “Palma” hotel and docks at Seljanovo and Opatovo.

“At Herceg Novi Riviera, first class of sea water had been recorded at the hotel beach “Delfin” in Bijela, in Baosici, Kumbor, Zelenika, as well as at beaches of “Vila Perla”, “Copas”, Corovica plaza, "Yachting Club" beach, "Riviera resort" hotel beach at Njivice, as well as at Mirista, Dobrec and beaches of "Porto" and "Cuba Libre” in Zanjic bay.

Sanitary quality of beaches is based on 12 physical and chemical parameters measured in the samples of sea water.

First and second class of sea water is considered as quality and sanitary safe for swimming and recreation.

Sanitary quality of sea water is analyzed in 15-day periods. Next analysis will be conducted between 1 and 5 July.

Initial analysis of sea water has shown that the second class quality had been noted at the confluence of Port Milena channel in Ulcinj, as well as at Bar’s beaches of "Paradizo" in Utjeha and Sutomore’s beach section at “Inex Zlatna obala.”

In the area of Budva, second class of sea water had been found at Rafailovici; in Kotor, at Prcanj and Orahovac beaches’; at Herceg Novi, second class of water had been confirmed at Meljine town beach, as well as the beaches of the Insitute RVI, beach at “Galeb” hotel in Igalo and Blatna plaza”, the statement concludes.
