Grand Opening of 14th Festival “Suncane Skale” to Take Place at Kanli-Tower Tonight: Presentation of “Prince’s Awards” would mark an opening of yet another “Suncane Skale” Festival at Herceg Novi’s Kanli-Tower, fourteenth in a row. Participants would compete in 16 categories.

Nominees in the category of Best Band, which have been voted upon by the audience are: “Amadeus bend”, “Crvena jabuka” and “Van Gogh”, while the album of the year is to be selected among Elena Risteska, Nina Badric and Sergej Cetkovic.

Nominees for the best idea solution for the album are this year’s representative at Eurovision Song Contest, Laka, Aleksa Jelic and Ana Stanic.

Winners of the “Prince’s Award”, awarded to a best festival performer would be selected tonight from last year’s winner, Lejla Hot and Slovenia’s and Serbia’s representatives at Euro-Song, Rebeka Dremelj and Jelena Tomasevic.

Debutants of the year at Lejla Hot, Laka and “Beauty Queens.”

Life-time-achievement award would go, post mortem, to Tose Proeski, who started his career at this Festival.

Marina Tucakovic, Sergej Cetkovic and Jelena from “Zana” band are competitors in the category for the best lyrics. Best composer would be selected between Cetkovic, Zeljko Joksimovic and Vlado Georgiev.

“Crvena jabuka” would compete for yet another award – for the concert of the year – alongside Toni Cetinjski and Joksimovic.

Best arrangements are attributed to song “Jednom mila”, “Zavet” and “Igra bez granica”, while the best singles would be chosen between Natasa Bekvalac, Georgijev and Cetinski.

Candidates for the duet of the year are Aleksa Jelić and Ana Štajdohar for the number they have introduced at “Beovizija Festival, Goca and Al Dino for the song they performed at Radijski Festival and Tijana Dapcevic and Vlado Janeski.

Best male artist would be selected between “Goraton’” exclusives, Željko Vasić and Sergej Ćetković, alongside another former performer for this label, Vlado Georgiev.

The best female artist is between the nominees: Elena Risteska, Marija Serifovic and Nina Badric.

According to the opinion of those who have voted through the website of the Festival, most popular songs during the past year were Laka’s “Pokusaj”, Milena Vucic’s “Luce” and “Natasa Bekvalac’s “Dobro moje.” Who will win Prince’s Award would made public tonight.

According to the announcements of the organizers, Ogi Radivojevic and Slovenian band “Sexpistols” would also perform before the audience at Kanli-Tower tonight.

Tomorrow night, “New Star” of the Festival would be selected, while “The Song of the Summer” would become known on the final evening of the Festival.

All three night of the Festival would be broadcast live via Montenegrin national television, RTCG and Pink M, starting at 9 pm.
