Herceg Novi - “Basketball Diplomacy” – this is the name for the basketball camp in Herceg Novi, which has gathered 50 boys and girls aged 13 to 16 from Herceg Novi and Dubrovnik.

Basketball players who have graduated from the “Georgetown” University and played for NACC league, only to continue their professional careers across the globe, will run practices with these youngsters. Among them, also Bijelo Polje’s native, Sead Dizdarevic.

While emphasizing the importance which this camp has for the popularization of sports and culture in Montenegro and USA, Dizdarevic explained that the plan envisages that American players would teach camp participants to some basic basketball skills and talk to them about the importance of sports and education for young generations.

“All of the instructors have been playing basketball very seriously. Besides that, they have also earned University degrees in certain spheres. So, they are all most competent to work with children, in all respects”, Dizdarevic emphasized.
