Visit-Montenegro.com, Globalink and Second Life

The world is changing. Globalization is the buzz word of the moment. And nowhere is this globalization more readily obvious than in the virtual worlds such as Second Life.

Bringing people together from all over the world regardless of race, religion or borders.
These virtual worlds allow people to interact like never before.
Imagine being able to travel the world from your office, bedroom or living room.
Imagine being able talk to people on the other side of the planet, not just hearing their voice like on a telephone but actually seeing an animated version of them in a realistic (or a wild, imaginary non-realistic setting) while you’re talking to them.

Imagine doing business with customers and clients from all corners of the globe, or just hanging out with your friends from Ireland, Japan, Montenegro or New Zealand without leaving your home country.
Well, all this and more is possible thanks to a variety of companies who’ve been imagining, creating and constantly expanding virtual worlds for years now.
One of these worlds is Second Life.

Created about 5 years ago by an American company, Linden Labs, it started out very small, but now has over 14 million subscribers, covers over a staggering 1,000 virtual km2, and in the first half of 2008, over US$158,000,000 changed hands between users in Second Life!

Globalink (www.globalinkjapan.com), a company based in Japan, have set up a business and educational island in this virtual world, an island geared towards bringing together people from all over the world, to communicate, exchange ideas, do business and create new opportunities.
As well as a language school on the island, they have built a large Exhibition Hall where companies can “virtually” advertise their products and services.
Visit-Montenegro.com were one of the first companies to jump at the chance to enter this new and exciting world, always looking for new ways to show people the beautiful country of Montenegro, they were very excited to work with Globalink and bring their services and knowledge into Second Life. And Globalink were very happy to work with them and help them achieve this.

Visit-Montenegro.com’s booth is based in the World Travel/Tourism Exhibition Area of the Globalink Exhibition Hall, and displays beautiful images and information about Montenegro and the great travel and tourist opportunities the country offers.
From this booth, visitors can access the Visit-Montenegro.com website, read information about the country and also communicate with a representative from the company. There’s also a nice boat they can hang out in, or kick around a beach ball on the sandy beach in the booth!

So please come and visit the Visit-Montenegro booth in Second Life!
