Cetinje – Cetinje’s firefighters have spent third consecutive night trying to put fire in Lovcen National Park under control.
In his statement to “Vijesti”, commander of Unit “Cetinje”, Pedja Mostrokol said that his firefighters have succeeded in localizing the fire which threatened Ivanova korita locality and pine-forest section of this National Park.
Continuous blowing of the wind, as well as difficult terrain have continued creating obstacles for four-day efforts to localize flames spreading in the area between Mirac and Dolovo.
Mostrokol said that this fire went down to asphalt road, in the direction of Kotor’s side of the mountain, which is the fact that has been conveyed to relevant authorities.
All available firefighters from Cetinje have been present at burning site at Lovcen, as well as planes and helicopters of Montenegrin Ministry of Interior.
