Zabljak Still Attractive for Tourists: Tourist circles under Mount Durmitor are still not trying to draw the line under this season. Unanimous conclusion is that this season has been good, but that it is not over yet, as many tourists have announced their arrivals in the upcoming period.
Zabljak – Tourist circles under Mount Durmitor are still not trying to draw the line under this season. Unanimous conclusion is that this season has been good, but that it is not over yet, as many tourists have announced their arrivals in the upcoming period.
This view is shared by Zabljak’s Mayor, Isailo Sljivancanin, despite the fact that tourist and building season at Durmitor need to proceed parallel, as this is the only way to go around climate conditions and finish the necessary works. Consequences of this are occasional problems with power and water supplying.
Evidence to the claim that this years’ season has been similar to the previous one is found in the statistics of local Tourist organization. Indicators for the last decade of August suggest that such trend would continue, with the expected decrease in number of domestic and increase of number of tourists from abroad.
“Expectations of ‘Durmitor’ National Park became a reality, as the incomes from the rafting, visits to the Black Lake, visits to the natural collection at Park’s House and presence of mountaineers climbing our mountains have increased by 10 percent”, Director, Tomo Pajovic says.
Capacities of the popular hotel “MB” will be used also during the month of September. Its’ owner, Vukomir Marjanovic says that agencies he works with will continue sending guests also during September, mostly from France and Britain.
He says he is pleased with the ongoing season and that the results were better than those recorded in 2007.
Majority of guests have also been satisfied, although, here and there, they had complaints about water shortages, although the situation has improved in comparison to 2007, Marjanovic explains, adding that domestic guests were in a majority until August, after which, guests from abroad took over.
Owner of “Bjelobor”, Radovan Bojovic is also satisfied with the season and like all the others, expects that solid number of guests would also visit during September.
Representatives of HM “Durmitor” company have not been able to compare this season with the previous one, as their hotel “Jezera” did not work during this summer, due to complex reconstruction and modernization works.
“On the other hand, hotel ‘Zabljak’ thrilled everyone who stayed there. There has not been a single complaint, only the words of praise for excellent food, service and reasonable prices.
This provided good marketing. Our satisfaction is complete with results of ‘Momcilov grad’ restaurant.
After six years’ break, this popular object has finally been renovated. It now provides a magnificent ambience, with fascinating view and excellent traditional cuisine. This restaurant is one of Zabljak’s top-priority tourist objects”, Sales Manager, Aleksandra Vukovic stated.
Kindness Results with Success
Largest hotel outside of the coast – “Planika” – is the only such object within the chain of Tivat-based company, HTP “Primorje”. In 2008, this hotel beat all the records set during 27 years’ of its’ existence.
All 320 beds were almost constantly filled during this summer season, It is almost certain that the last year of its’ work – as it will be put down next year – will beat all the records. Evidence is also found in the number of overnight stays and financial results.
“Formula ‘both sea and mountains’, which is implemented by our company, is proving to be fruitful.
Even the problems with infrastructure and utilities, which hit this entire region, did not cause any serious problems for us.
Our guests showed understanding for such situation and we made sure to ‘pay them back’ with our kindness, attention, hygiene our legendary cuisine and buffet.
Beauty of the area has been strengthened with live performances of musicians like Slaven Knezovic or Stefan Filipovic.
Winning formula for several seasons and also this summer has been children playground with professional animators, which turned out to be the most favorite spot for the young ones, not only staying at our hotel, but also at other objects.
We are mighty proud when we recall moments when we say goodbye to our guests, regardless if they are domestic guests, or foreigners which also start returning to our hotel each year, or whether we are talking about sports teams… All of them address us with the words of praise and gratitude”, manager of “Planika”, Mitar Baranin says, adding that this hotel expects many more guests during September, with its’ prices lower by 20 percent.
