Montenegro tops travel list

Montenegro has topped Lonely Planet’s 2008 “blue list” along with Greece, Armenia, and Bhutan.

The country was recommended by the community of Lonely Planet authors and staff, in addition to making the blue list, which includes a compilation of traveller’s challenges for 2008. Describing the Montenegrin coast as irresistible, Lonely Planet says that Montenegro offers something for everybody, from the deep blue waters of the Adriatic to the snowy peaks of its high mountains.

The travel publisher also recommends Apia in Samoa, Italy’s Bologna, Miami in the United States, Morocco’s Fez, and the Syrian capital of Damascus.
